Do you like Japanese food?
This episode let’s check out a Japanese cooking class.

This is a private cooking class you can join for a one-time lesson.
These two will be learning how to cook with the help of their teacher Ms. Yoko.

All ingredients are provided, so students just need to show up on time and pay the class fee.

As Ms. Yoko can teach in English, it is pretty easy to understand even for foreigners.

For this course they begin by making a side dish, learning how to cut a cucumber in a unique way.

Traditional cooking methods, the history and types of ingredients are taught in a fun way.
The teacher shows how to properly prepare the meals, while allowing students plenty of hands-on experience.

Sumeshi, or sushi rice, needs to be mixed and cooled for the Makisushi, today’s main dish.

Makisushi is simple, the rice is placed on Nori, and fish or any kind of ingredients of choice are added.

Once everything is ready, it is all rolled together.

Rolling the Makisushi looks easy, but can be a bit tricky with the sticky rice.
But that’s no problem with the help of sensei!

The two successfully master the art of Makisushi, and make more than enougn for everyone.

Finally, they are cut into bite-sized pieces.

How about some authentic wasabi for that extra punch.

The food looks delicious doesn’t it, just like from a restaurant!

Finally, the best part of the lesson.
